Tideborne Command

★★★★☆ 4.4 Editor rating

Tideborne Command is a slower, thinkier strategy game where you command a small fleet across a chain of islands. You're always juggling supply lines against ambition, and the AI is happy to punish you for overreaching. Battles play out in real time but you can pause to issue orders, which keeps it manageable on a touchscreen.

What I liked is how much reading of the map matters. Winds, shallows, and fog all change how an engagement goes, so scouting is never wasted. The campaign remembers ships you keep alive between missions, which quietly makes you play more carefully.

It's not a fast game, and the tutorial could be clearer, but once it clicks it's one of the more satisfying strategy titles you can play with one hand on a couch.
