About
Iris Lab is a small independent team that writes about mobile games because we couldn't find reviews that matched how we actually play — in short bursts, on real phones, with a spotty connection now and then. We started this as a shared notes doc and it grew into a proper site.,We care most about two things: does the story or world pull you back, and does the progression feel fair. A game can look gorgeous and still waste your evening, so we track how grindy things get and whether the fun holds up after the first hour.,Games get picked for coverage when someone on the team genuinely wants to keep playing, or when readers keep asking about a title. We install it, play it properly, and only then sit down to write. Nothing here is copy-pasted from a store page.,We're not tied to any studio. If a game disappoints us, we say so, and if it surprises us, we say that too. The goal is simple: help you spend your download and your time on something worth it.
Lena Vasnetsová — Lena has been playing handheld and mobile RPGs since her first commute-heavy job and now leads the reviews at Iris Lab. She writes the long-form pieces and argues about difficulty curves with the rest of the team.
